This manual outlines the full guest turnover and cleaning process for all accommodations and communal spaces at Wildwood Nature Escape.
Staff must follow each checklist in order and confirm all items are completed before marking the site as ready for new guests.
1. Dome Cleaning Checklist
Exterior
☐ Blow off leaves and debris from deck, stairs, and cracks around dome
☐ Blow off leaves from gravel fire pit area
☐ Shake debris off outdoor entrance mat
☐ Ensure all stair lights are aligned and functioning
☐ Clean barbecue and tools; cover barbecue after cleaning
☐ Check propane tank level
☐ Check water jug level and refill if necessary
☐ Wipe dining table; tip chairs against table when finished
☐ Cover fire pit
☐ Tip fire pit chairs over and rest them against fire pit when not in use
☐ Remove bird droppings from any surfaces
Interior
☐ Leave door open for ventilation during cleaning (windows if necessary)
☐ Remove entrance mat, shake off debris, and place on ledge while sweeping
☐ Change and replace all bed sheets and pillowcases
☐ Empty wood stove or fireplace of ash
☐ Wipe down all surfaces with disinfectant (Clorox or similar): handles, tables, kitchenette, cupboards, switches
☐ Verify inventory and restock missing items:
• Mugs
• Plastic cups
• Wooden cutlery
• French press
• Tea bags
• Toothbrush holder
• Paper towel
• Paper plates
• Dish soap
• White plastic bin
• Pan
• Cutting board
• Brush and scoop
• Fire tools + ash pan

☐ Charge portable lamps and solar lights
☐ Vacuum or sweep all floors and rugs
☐ Inspect for stains or marks on floors; clean as needed
☐ Check cushions, chairs, and tables for stains or damage
☐ Inspect bed frame, mattress, and bedding for damage or stains
☐ Check windows for marks, damage, or fingerprints
☐ Look for lost items (under bed, in drawers, on hooks)
☐ Set windows open or closed depending on season
☐ Empty garbage bins; replace with new bags
☐ Check booking notes for:
• Firewood and fire starter requests
• Any special requests or add-ons
2. Cabin Cleaning Checklist
Exterior
☐ Blow leaves off porch, steps, and walkway
☐ Clean barbecue and cover after use
☐ Check propane level
☐ Wipe and align outdoor chairs and table
☐ Cover or tip fire pit chairs
☐ Check lighting and ensure all solar/stair lights work
Interior
☐ Air out cabin by leaving door open while cleaning
☐ Shake entrance mat and sweep floors
☐ Change and replace all bed sheets
☐ Wipe all surfaces (Clorox wipes) including: handles, bedside tables, and window sills
☐ Inspect beds, tables, and chairs for stains or damage
☐ Check windows and door glass for fingerprints or marks
☐ Empty garbage bins and replace bags
☐ Check for any personal items left behind
☐ Ensure décor and small items (plants, lamps) are arranged neatly
3. Campsite Check
☐ Inspect solo stove or fire pit – clean ashes if full
☐ Check for garbage or debris; remove any litter
☐ Ensure picnic table (if present) is clean
☐ Verify fire pit cover is in place
☐ Confirm fire pit area is safe and level
☐ Rake sand or ground area smooth for next guests
4. Beach Area
☐ Confirm Swimming Warning Sign is visible and secure
☐ Confirm Life Ring is present and rope tied properly to post
☐ Move kayaks to top of embedded stairs when not in use
☐ Deflate all tubes except 2 anchored tubes during summer season
☐ Inspect area for garbage or debris
5. Stairs & Decks
☐ Shake out egg chair cushions
☐ Blow off leaves and debris from all decks and stairs
☐ Store or set out cushions depending on guest schedule
☐ Check propane level for outdoor fireplace
☐ Confirm solar lights are aligned and functioning
6. Spa Area (Sauna & Cold Plunge)
(Placeholder – to be expanded when spa setup is finalized)
☐ Check sauna for any damages
☐ Ensure wooden bucket has water and ladle is present
☐ Stock kindling and small logs in bin for guest use
☐ If guests arriving with spa access, preheat sauna 1 hour before arrival
☐ Clean windows (use Windex or glass cleaner)
☐ Check cold plunge for cracks or leaks
☐ Fill cold plunge if needed
☐ Check spa pillows for damage or wetness – dry in sun if needed
☐ Return all spa accessories neatly after drying
7. Washroom Building
☐ Wipe all surfaces with disinfectant (counters, window sills, faucets, handles)
☐ Clean toilets thoroughly (inside, outside, behind base)
☐ Restock:
• 2 rolls of toilet paper per toilet
• 1 paper towel roll in holder + 1 backup below sink
☐ Empty garbage if full; replace bag
☐ Use toilet brush for stains or residue
☐ Vacuum or sweep floors, then mop or Swiffer wet
☐ Remove webs and bugs
8. Shower Rooms
☐ Clean all surfaces (handles, faucets, doors)
☐ Remove fingerprints from glass
☐ Mop floors with wet Swiffer or mop
☐ Remove webs and bugs
☐ Empty garbage bins
☐ Check for mold or mildew in corners
9. Outdoor Showers

☐ Remove debris or bugs

10. Final Site Walkthrough
☐ Confirm all areas are clean and reset

☐ Ensure all equipment is returned and secure
☐ Note any items needing repair or replacement in logbook
☐ Mark accommodation as “Ready for Check-In”
